Marina Burgtiefe
berths: The large marina in front of the main town Burg on the island of Fehmarn is well protected in the “Burger Binnensee”. Free berths are marked by green signs. You can either moor at the circular bridge at the beginning of the marina or at one of the 5 jetties.
How to get there: Three high-rise buildings from Burgtiefe are a good landmark. Crews approaching the marina from Fehmarnsund should first head for the approach buoy Burg 1 from the Fehmarnsund buoy.
At night the white sector of the leading light Burger Binnensee and the leading light Burgstaaken with 357° are used. You should definitely stay in the tuned out fairway, as it is only 0.5 m deep in places.
There are all kinds of supply possibilities, because next to the large marina a holiday centre has been built with many tourist facilities. There is an indoor seawater swimming pool and other spa facilities. The surrounding area also offers a beautiful beach.
Burgstaaken marina
berths: The Burgstaaken marina is located directly in the the fishing and commercial port of Burg in the Burger Binnensee.
The berths on the 3 existing pontoons have electricity and water connections. There are a number of free berths (marked with green boards)
for guests or you can speak to the harbour master. The water depth at the floating jetties is 2.0 m to 2.6 m.
The marina has an intact infrastructure with a comprehensive service on site.
Approach: The approach is from the RW approach buoy Fehmarnsund with a northern course and is possible without any problems.
After passing buoy 19/ Burg Tiefe 1, follow the leading light Burgstaaken in line 356.5° to the harbour.
The harbour is easy to approach day and night.
There is a shop, a restaurant and a café on site, as well as several boat service companies and of course a sanitary building.
In the town area of Burgstaken and in the small town of Burg you will find various supermarkets and many shopping facilities.
Marina Orth
berths: The very romantic small marina Orth, formerly a Fishing and commercial port celebrated its 135th anniversary in 2016.
The port facility was extensively modernised in 1995/96. Today there are about 140 berths for yachts with a draught of up to 3 m. Water and electricity are available at the jetties.
There are well-kept sanitary facilities next to the berths.
Guest berths are usually located on the long western pier (green shields). Large yachts can moor at the “Handelskai” by arrangement with the harbour master. WLAN is available.
Approach: The approach to Orth harbour is from light buoy Fehmarnsund 2 with a heading of approx. 350.6° to the pair of buoys Orth 1/2 and continues on the same course into the harbour.
In darkness and bad visibility follow beacon Orth in the white sector 348°-350° into the port. The approach is possible by day and night. Please note that there are several shallows directly next to the fairway.
In the harbour area of Orth you will find a variety of leisure and recreation facilities. There are outdoor facilities with barbecue areas, a children’s playground, numerous restaurants, shops and a small grocery shop, as well as bicycle rental and a repair and yacht service. For those who like sports there is a surfing and sailing school, a water sports school and a kite surfing school on site.
The local beaches are well known and popular as a surfers’ paradise. There are wonderful shallow bathing possibilities near the harbour. The bus stops directly at the harbour.
